Hello,
i just had their food. and can i tell u AMAZING!!! they moved locations in the past year, and let me say, beautiful. a modern day good atmosphere. loads of pink, just gorgeous. wen i was there, i felt such peace. the owner, naomi and logan are just amazing. i woould definately visit their again. you need to try their samosas and pakoras; both vegi and very cheap. 2 for 1.25 including chutney. they have a range of fresh homemade juices and lussies. i love their kothu rotti, which is basically a srilankan style stir fry. but heres the catch, instead of rice they use bread. cool ey!!
their specialties are dosa. a crispy crepe no wheat, and u can get any stuffers, including meat and vegan option. and it is HUGE!!!
last but not least the full meals. if u want something with more variety then got for the plates. now all of them are much the same but the carbs are different. one has white rice, other has briyani rice, otheres have three differnt breads, and their are also the meat and vegan options. OVER ALL THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Toronto. The decor is
very basic, cafeteria style, but don't let that put you off.
Everything on the menu is fantastic, and I have pretty well tied it
all, at one time or another. The veggie meal is a fantastic
selection of beautiful authentic south Indian dishes served with
your choice of rice or bread, or both. The rotis are the best I
have tasted anywhere! Then when you take into account it all
costs a little over $7:00 you have to declare it the best value in
the city for such great food.
There is no decor, other than a couple of plants, there is no
music in the background, but if you are lucky you will even the
waitress and owner will drift in and out of the kitchen singing
religious songs to herself.
This place is a treat, but if you are taking a date make sure they
won't be offended by the lack of trendy ambiance.

I read about this in NOW magazine and then forgot to write down the address. I accidently found it when I was cycling along Bloor. The decor isn't great, but then again, it's all about the food, and it's great!!! I love the egg dosa and I love the chicken Biryani (it was a take out and it's enough for 2 sittings and at $7.95, that's a bargain!!)

I'm actually going out of my way to go there after work because I'm craving it.

Don't hesitate to check this place out!!!

If you want a great but cheap place to eat then this is the place. The decor is a little drab but you'll forget quickly when you're tucking into the dosas!

just east of Lansdowne, on Bloor. There's a mini-review of it in the current EYE weekly.

10 for 3 bucks, and they're the best I've had in a long, long time. Get a bucket of the coconut dipping sauce, while you're at it.
