The food in the buffet is recycled. This is what they do -- they recycle the Chinese style deep fried chicken, which was served the previous day, into a new dish called Dhania Chicken!! Dania Chicken came with a thick, black gravy. We scraped off the gravy to see the pieces of deep fried chicken emerge!! Clearly, we were getting two tastes -- a Chinese flavor overlaid with an Indian flavor.
The vegetable dishes contain little veggies and mostly are thick gravy.
The chicken dishes are usually undercooked, and are covered in gravy. The mutton dishes lack quantity, which does not seem fair in view of the high price.

lunch buffet at Anjappar Chettinad (Eglinton) is amazingly good food, and very cheap, at under 10 dollars a person, with taxes - dinner is great, too, the roast crab and the biryanis are our favourites - and they have a large selection of different South Indian breads.

I was out at Anjappar Chettinad in Scarborough this week and wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. The curries did not satisfy me, the biriyani chicken rice had some bones that kept appearing as I chewed. Curry prawns were sooooo salty. It's definitely not the south Indian cuisine served in Mississauga at Saravana Bhavann. What a delight this place is. Every item that comes out of the kitchen makes my mouth water. It's a shame that it's so far out for me
